give it time and be patient :) Your yearning to be able to fast is perfect enough :) since you are unable to :)

Thy Geekdom Come

My parents think I'm a bit extreme for my fasts, because they think that a bread and water fast includes toppings for the bread...

What they really can't stand is that I won't go to any stores which help to fund abortions. That includes movies starring known advocates of abortion (I couldn't see the new Spiderman because of Kirsten Dunst). The funny thing, they are pro-life, but seem to think that it is ridiculous to offer up suffering or lacking any luxuries for the sake of Christ.

My parents are the same way too. When i started to go to mass daily my mom was like "your going to Church again" and then when i would go back for adoration and stuff " your spending alot of time at Church" It can be hard. Especially when i came home fomr Steubie on fire with God's love. I was and still is hard to keep the fire going without the support of my family.

Yes my parents havea huge problem with me fasting, considering there non believers, while I am a believer. its really hard to express the Faith sometimes over here, in the Black Gold State of Oklahoma.

if you have a dog, your days of fasting can just be his days of feast! :P lol

(slipping food under the table so your parents don't know you're not eating it)
