Mickey's_Girl
If Raphael has to go through purgatory, I feel certain that his "purification" would consist solely of cramps, bloating, mood swings, exhaustion, headaches, backaches, and irrationality. And he wouldn't be able to do a thing about it. (BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! ) MG

Mickey's_Girl
I'm sorry to hear that; I had no idea. So, then, it's reasonable to expect sympathy from you, instead of mockery? I mean, your experience would be different from PMS, of course, but quite difficult. Most people's PMS is not as acute as drug withdrawal...but then, PMS can be expected every month and one has pretty much no control over the body's reaction to the hormones. PMS is miserable in its own way. MG
Thy Geekdom Come
Well, my drug withdrawal was minor, only lasted a few days, and wasn't due to illegal substances (I've never used illegal drugs...I've been on clinical steroids, prescribed, and I've been in possession of marijuana, because my mother was a cop and we were turning it in). However, I giggle anyway. Actually, I'm not giggling at all, I'm only trying to be humorous. Having never had PMS, perhaps I think it's more humorous than it really is. It's not funny to be on the receiving end, though, either.
Oik
Is this a post for help? It seems kinda like a "this is for girls only" post. Anyways, I vote Saint Rose of Lima, because she was beautiful and tried not to be. She bared her sufferings (and beat off men with a stick...not really!). She was very cool. http://www.catholic-forum.com/saints/pst00249.htm bodily ills..... How about Saint Jude, patron saint of hopeless causes because we'll always get PMS and I can't find a patron specifically for PMS or menstruation. (Seriously, I love the idea of adopting St. Gianna for patron of female bodily functions, what an awesome role model for us!!! )

I think we should ask the Holy Father about this. HE would be sympathetic to the needs of women! MG
