BLAZEr
The Catholic Worker is not an official institute in the Church but many people who make up the Catholic Worker are very much Catholic. However, some Catholic Worker houses are Catholic with a small "C" which means that they like Dorothy Day and her causes for Social Justice, but they don't follow her so much in her obedience to the Church, her Orthodox Catholic Faith, and her piety to the saints . . . There are good Catholic Worker Houses which you can get in touch with if you want to know more about Dorothy Day and the Catholic Worker movement from people who are solidly Catholic. First and foremost I recommend Mark and Louise Zwick at Casa Juan Diego in Houston, TX. Or you can do a google search for Fr. Michael Baxter, C.S.C. a Holy Cross priest who teaches at Notre Dame. They are the best sources.
