Well this just crossed my mind, but how many of you go and prayer at the Abortion Clinic's near you? We have a couple that we pray at and it's never easy! But i know what i'm doing out there can change somebodies life and thus save a life! So if you are, then know that our parish is too and keep up the good fight and if you are not, then try and set up one for your youth.
Seeing youth out in front of the Abortion Clinic SILENTLY praying or praying the rosary is such an awesome witness!
NO we don't go out and scream at everybody, we will offer assisstance on anyone who wants it, we don't force it down their throats and we pray for all of them!

So go ahead and post, i'm curious

God Bless
Jason Gregory

I don't know where any abortion places are. I don't think there are any in Rockford and I know there aren't any in Byron.

Hi RemnantRules- In South Bend, we pray at the Women's Care Center (it's for unwed/teenage mothers in need of support), which happens to be right next to the Abortion Clinic. You're right- youth are a totally awesome witness, and so are women with children, too! I did have a question for everybody though... When we were out there today to pray, a group of senior citizens came with a car full of protest signs, saying things like "Abortion is murder," "Save the baby humans" (oh hey I get it now haha...), and stuff like that, and they began to walk back and forth in front of the clinic, waving them at the girls who were driving in and out. Now, at first, I was like "Wow, that's awesome," and was getting ready to join in, and then I started thinking about it and about showing compassion to others, and about how the majority of the people getting abortions done really don't know exactly what they're doing, ya know (or they wouldn't be there...). I tried to put myself in the place of one of those girls, and now I'm not sure if signs are really an effective method of protesting. I think I would be more angry and turned off if I was going to the clinic and saw people like that. I may be way off base here, but how do you guys feel? Maybe those signs are a wakeup call for some girls, but from what I understand, it just angers most of the abortion clinic's clients. Besides prayer (which is totally awesome!), how else do you guys work for the pro life cause? Do you think we should wave signs like that, with the hope they'll be a wakeup call to even one girl going in and out? Okay, that's all for now, :) have a good night guys!

Well, that's good to hear.

I have to drive past the abortion clinic almost all the time (there's no other route). So I say three Hail Mary's as I pass by.

well Colleen i'll say an extra prayer for you.

And ClaireBear you are EXACTLY RIGHT!!! The majority of girls going in there either our ill informed and our maybe questioning whether they want to go in. Well if someone comes up to them and starts yelling at them and waving signs that will FOR SURE turn them off to want to hear what people have to say!

It's like if you were grocery shopping and a group started yelling at you to buy this type of food. Well it's not exactly like that but you get what i'm saying you're going to be more inclined to be turned off!

So what we usually do is keep our distance but as their walking into the building, trained people who know how to talk to women about abortion, will usually calmly tell them that we have information if they'd like to recieve it and/or will ask why they are there. B/C sometimes women are there for birth-control pills so we have to talk to those women too.

Great post Claire! You gave the perfect answer to yourself! lol

Yeah, I guess you're right.

I hope someday I won't have to see it there anymore.

yes, and its through prayer and standing vigil that really shows how wrong it is. its a block down from my school -_-

silence is powerful!

we had 3 in our town but our diocese shut down 2 of them (see? it does make a difference!!!) now we're working on the last one!

its soo sad, and whats even sadder is recognizing ppl who are going in there

i know ours is in a kinda bad part of town so we always have to be careful cuz the passerbyers get very angry.

but this one time, this guy in a brand spankin' new mercedes-benz came up and he had bought us 4 bottles of water to show his support and to tell us he admires what we were doing......

i recommend it, finding out, cuz every little thing can help shut it down......

has anyone seen the sign "No Children Allowed" (because tehy cannot stand the sight of children at that place) on the door of the abortion mill? :sadder: how ironic that sign really is :weep:
