Lil Red
Is it just me, or are young people a heck of a lot more conservative in their religious beliefs than their parents? Specifically Catholics, I mean. I have noticed A LOT of conflict between us and the the older generation who patronize us and call us naive for our wish to adhere to what the Church teaches. I can see a very tangible undercurrent of orthodoxy running through the youth today...It gives me hope. How about you guys? Let's toot our own horn here. What makes us different from our parents on this issue? I know that nothing really taught me to seek right teaching...it was just a need that was there. Holy Spirit at work do you suppose?
not with my parents. my parents were both born in 1938, so they missed that whole "rebelling" part. by the time the 60s and 70s came around, they had 7 children. My sis was born in '74 and i was born in '78. so, some of my brothers and sisters rebelled against Church stuff, but I'm pretty conservative. theculturewarrior
I definitely think the younger generation is more attractive. But that's just the way of things, it seems.
