Just got told off - the minimum donation is $16 apparently.  I'll look for a donation centre that will accept a very humble offering.

                                           Be careful about any donation.

Save The Children has a minimum of $10 and I wanted a one off donation.  When I got to the bottom of the page (after completing all details) for the date it was to be deducted, it stated "each month" with no other option.  Nor could I pay via Paypal.

I could donate as low as $5 as a one off donation on Caritas Australia: https://www.caritas.org.au/donate

I could only donate via my debit card.  While I am not happy about putting debit card details on the internet, I did donate $5.  At least Caritas would accept a one off donation.  I check my bank daily.
