It seems to me though that, since the contemplative Orders are "the engine" for the Church the latter is obliged to truly care for such cases and allow the nuns remain together providing some "live in" care so the prayers and that life would go on. HisChild Posted October 31, 2020 Share Posted October 31, 2020 It is always heartbreaking to see any monastery closing, but Carmelites are dear to my heart. I liken the Carmel modus operandi of Union with God to Orthodox Theosis. Lord have mercy. I will certainly keep all in prayer, and hopefully they'll find new homes in other Carmels.
