The Forbidden Fruit

Peace

Recommended Posts

For me it is avocados.

If we were all in the Garden of Eden, and God said, "Peace, you may eat anything in the garden, except for these here avocados" it would be the fall of mankind I tell you.

What is it for you?

Passionfruit on top of a perfectly done pavlova.

I've never had passionfruit. There is no passionfruit in the ghetto! I was deprived as a child.

I haven't had it in a long time - just a few moments in my life.

Main reason I haven't had it in so long is because I can't for the life of me make a perfectly done pavlova.

Watermelon.  I love a good watermelon.

That reminds me of that one Dave Chapelle skit where he turns down watermelon offered by one of his office mates, because he didn't want to reinforce the stereotype that black people love watermelon.

Personally I want to find this mythical person who does not like watermelon. You can put salt on the stuff, it's still good.

Yeah I've never even heard from Pavlova before today, but it looks good. I know there is a Russian restaurant in DC, I'll try to check it out.

Depends on what kind. If we are talking Honeycrisp sprinkled with lemon and cinnamon, I can get down with that.

Pineapple. It burns when it goes in and when it comes out (sorry, tmi). I still eat it on pizza tho. Worth it

Yeah pineapple on pizza is scandalous. The Church should ban that form of heresy.

I'd say pineapple, I have to limit to the summer months though. Seems like its not very good year round, better in the heat like watermelon.

Can be too sweet sometimes too. If it's too sweet you have to put it in a cocktail.

that is a significant amount of information.

There probably wouldn't be a chocolate tree so we'd be safe.

I sometimes imagine that Adam and Eve are at the gates of heaven and they stop everyone coming in and say "Sorry man, our bad!!"

It's actually an Australian / New Zealand invention named after a Russian ballerina. Though I hear some Russian pastry places will sell it. Don't count on it though.

That's interesting.

I wonder how it compares to the "Tres Leches".
