wow thats awesome, I joined last march, so I really want to go with MI. I wonder how though I will convince my parents, they may prefer that for such a big trip that I stay with my parish youth group which started last year.

Proposed Itinerary (subject to change)

Day 1 - Depart USA for Paris, France
August 11 (Thursday)
Begin your Catholic Adventures trip to France and World Youth Day 2005 with our departure from New York (or another international airport) for our overnight flight to Paris. Dinner and breakfast are served on board.

Day 2 - Arrival in Paris, France
August 12 (Friday)
Upon arrival in Paris, meet our Catholic Adventures escort and transfer to our hotel with an orientation tour while en route. Our tour of Paris today will include Notre Dame Cathedral, L'Arc de Triomphe, and the Champs Elysees. Also visit Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Chapel, the site where the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to St. Catherine Laboure in 1830 and revealed the Miraculous Medal to her. You can also view the incorrupt body of the saint. St. Maximilian Kolbe was greatly devoted to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight in Paris.

Day 3 - Paris, France-Krakow, Poland
August 13 (Saturday)
Depart Paris today and fly to Poland. Upon arrival in Krakow, meet our Catholic Adventures escort who will accompany us to the world famous Shrine of Divine Mercy, St. Faustina's convent chapel. Here you will have an opportunity to celebrate Mass and pray before the tomb of this beloved saint. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 - Krakow
August 14 (Sunday)
Today we visit two very prominent places in Poland. First, a stop in Wadowice, the birthplace of Karol Wojtyla - Pope John Paul II. Visit the house where our pope was born. We will also visit the church he attended and where he was baptized as a child. Then it's on to Auschwitz, the notorious Nazi concentration camp. We will see the cell that imprisoned St. Maximillian Kolbe and the Martyrdom Museum recalling the horrors of the Holocaust. Today is also the feast day of St. Maximilian Kolbe. Return to Krakow for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 - Krakow-Czestochowa-Krakow
August 15 (Monday)
Travel today to Czestochowa, with a stop in Swinice Warckie to visit the parish church where St. Faustina was baptized Helen Kowalska. Czestochowa is the site of Poland's greatest pilgrimage shrine, Our Lady of Czestochowa. Our Holy Father Pope John Paul II has frequently visited Jasna Gorna Monastery, known as the Shrine of the Black Madonna. We celebrate Mass at the Pauline Monastery and venerate the priceless treasures contained within, including the Miraculous Icon. Dinner and overnight in Krakow.

Day 6 - Krakow, Poland-Prague, Czech Republic
August 16 (Tuesday)
We're off to Prague and the Czech Republic today. First visit Zakopane, a resort village nestled in the splendor of the Tatras region. We will take a cable car ride to the nearby mountaintop for extraordinary views. Then continue to Prague, one of Central Europe's most cosmopolitan cities. Dinner and overnight in Prague.

Day 7 - Prague, Czech Republic-Cologne, Germany
August 17 (Wednesday)
Depart Prague today for Cologne, Germany - site of World Youth Day 2005! Upon our arrival in Germany, enjoy an orientation sightseeing tour while en route to our hotel. The balance of the day is at leisure to explore the city on your own and pursue your favorite interests. Overnight at hotel.

Day 8 - Cologne, Germany
August 18 (Thursday)
Enjoy this morning a sightseeing tour of Cologne and the world famous cathedral. Then get ready for this evening's World Youth Day Opening ceremonies! Return to our hotel for our overnight stay, and to get ready for another big day tomorrow.

Day 9 - Cologne, Germany
August 19 (Friday)
Today explore some of Germany's most famous pilgrimage sites. Visit the Cathedral of Aachen, home to the Four Great Relics and to the magnificent reliquary containing the remains of Charlemagne. At the Cathedral of Trier, pray before the shrine's great possession: the "Holy Robe" of Christ (the seamless garment said to be worn by Christ during his Passion). Also visit St. Matthias Abbey and have an opportunity to pray before this apostle's tomb. Return to Cologne for the hotel overnight.

Day 10 - Cologne, Germany
August 20 (Saturday)
After the morning World Youth Day activities, we prepare for this evening's grand events. You are transported by motorcoach to the starting pilgrimage route of the walk to the site of the World Youth Day 2005 Vigil and Mass with Pope John Paul II. We will overnight at the Vigil site with all the other pilgrims from around the world.

Day 11 - Cologne, Germany
August 21 (Sunday)
Get ready for today's grand finale - the closing Mass with Pope John Paul II! From here, we will return to the hotel with the rest of the day free. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
