dUSt
The phatmass PayPal account ran out of money yesterday so my host shut us down. I switched the monthly bill to my personal credit card.
Guest
I think if people won't donate and it has to come out of your own pocket you should shut down. You shouldn't have to pay for it. I will sign up for a monthly donation if you allow accounts to be deleted. Or at the very least deactivated. I think it should be allowed due to privacy concerns. A website shouldn't refuse this to users. Facebook, IG, Twitter all allow you to delete your account. Over the years you end up revealing too much information about yourself or things you don't want on the internet forever.

Think of all the apologetics discussions over the years that would make no sense if 1/2 the replies were deleted. Visitors still regularly search and read those old discussions. I'll look into if there is a way to delete all of the account information without losing the posts. I'm pretty much at the mercy of the forum software though. I'm pretty much at the mercy of the forum software though. Valid point. I could be wrong but I'm guessing less than 1% of members (probably less) would want their account deleted. The only reason I do is because 1.) I don't want family reading a bunch of what I've posted throughout the years. 2.) I've been way out of line with interactions with people here. Some may argue you should be more careful what you post then. I completely agree. And from this point forward I'm giving it 100%. I think my days are done even arguing or debating online. It just goes bad and leads to serious sin for me too quickly. And I definitely will never again use my real name and proceed to give details about my life. Guest
The more I think about it it's not that complicated. Just delete my account. You don't have to change the rules. I highly doubt anyone else will even ask. Appreciate it.
