is it wrong to pray for a supreme court justice to die?

it looks like john roberts won't vote to over turn roe v wade. we need one more pro life justice to do so. ginsberg for example always votes for the liberal position, no matter what. it isn't even jurisprudence, it's just judicial law making run amok. plus she's got one leg in the grave already anyway.

if you really need an answer to that question, ask a kindergartener. If not, I hear Pic-n-Save is selling clues on sale...I can lend you $ to get at least 3.

Lilllabettt

You can pray for conversion or "the necessary acts of God " which include death. Make sure you're motive is their salvation, though. Not a few of our saints were known to pray for death rather than  a fall into mortal sin.

Lilllabettt is right. Just praying for an end to abortion and conversions should suffice. We can pray for deliverance from evil that a person causes, but how that comes about should be left up to God, and that opens up the possibilities of a person's conversion. Conversions need to happen. I would like to see Roe overturned but it's been almost 50 years now and the record of GOP appointees has been pretty murky about this. The vast majority of the public don't want Roe overturned, and that is a problem. I still support conservative justices in other matters and I don't think it's right to just "give up" -- but I think conservative appointees would be less likely to drop the ball if they had more public support. It's not just a matter of wanting pro-choice justices to be replaced -- people's minds need to change. Unfortunately human beings often tend to learn these lessons the hard way and I'm pretty concerned about our country's general direction going into the future for the time being. But I'll pray anyway.

Not so much there own baby or baby’s in general, it may be more like interfering with another persons private decision.

I truly believe that the vast majority of Americans are opposed To abortion when its there own children and / or family

You're likely correct, as I've seen some polls that indicate that most Americans if given the choice would rather avoid abortion. But I'm differentiating between that and what people think should be allowed and permissable by law. I suppose what I'm getting at overall is that the possibility of Roe being overturned is still somewhat uncertain for the reasons bolded above...not impossible but I think there is also a bigger picture involved here. Even overturning Roe still allows abortion to be legal at the state level.

I guess going back on topic... I don't think it's charitable to directly pray for RBG's death, and there's a bigger picture involved than just Roe. Though it's good to pray for deliverance from evil and her conversion.

BTW:

WASHINGTON (AP) — Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has been discharged from a hospital in New York City and has returned home, the Supreme Court said Friday.

The court said Ginsburg, 87, is doing well, two days after undergoing a minimally invasive procedure on Wednesday to “revise a bile duct stent” at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. The stent had originally been placed last August, when Ginsburg was treated for a cancerous tumor on her pancreas.

The procedure is common and was done to minimize the risk of future infection, according to her doctors
