Mateo el Feo
Well, I have a few Bibles, and I just can't bring myself to write (take notes) in them. Even if I had a designated "study" Bible, I don't think I could do it. I wouldn't even highlight text, so maybe I'm a fanatic... Just curious what others do... Carnanc
I usually don't have a reason to write in the actual bible, I find writing my thoughts in a personal journal to be fine, I voted yes, I guess maybe underlining or making a small number of refrences is probably ok I would think if you don't have the intent of being disrespectful. theculturewarrior
I have never written in a bible, ever. Not for notetaking. The only time I can remember doing this was signing and dating the profession of faith in my Gideon's NT. I think I am going to start though. I'm just going to choose my bible well. I have the RSVCE but it is leather bound. I'm going to get the Ignatius Study Bible and really STUDY it. (May God so help me!)
homeschoolmom
this may sound weird, but it depends on the paper. I have only one bible I've ever written in-- my 20 year old NIV study bible. All of my other bibles are gold trimmed leather ones with rice paper... not for note taking.
ThyWillBeDone
I could just never bring my self to right in the Bible, I use to have a separate notebook I used to take notes on what I read from the bible. Chris

Rebirth flame
my bible is littered with post-it notes, cuz i don't like to mark it up... lol, litterally, tho, all the pages have post-it notes all over them (cuz i've read the entirity of the bible twice [just because i wanted to! ], and i wrote down things that struck me each time i read through it but on post-it notes). so people have those little tabs on their bibles that tell them where each book is, but i use post-its! Sojourner
I used to write notes, but don't now. Sometimes I highlight if a verse really strikes me.

Soldier4Him
I'm not exactly sure, but I know it was a priest or religious, who said this, but : "You Bible is meant to be studied, and written in!" Also, a speaker I heard at a NET Ministries Lifeline had the youth write their names on a random page in his Bible. He would open to random pages each day and pray for them by name. He had other notes everywhere. You should see my Bible.... *grin*

heyyoimjohnny
Is there even room in the Bible to write in it? lol I don't think it would be disrespectful anyway. It's not like it's changing the message, ect...
