Ice_nine
lol Josh I think there's a bit of a difference there. I was only half-watching the halftime show. The low camera angle crotch shots stood out to me. Of course I just think it's ridiculous. I didn't get upset, but I didn't think about kids watching. I get it why some think it's not appropriate. But that's always been their m.o. Their music is fire too. They aren't only relying on their looks and antics. But it's mind blowing their age. On my walk tonight I started listening to old J Lo tracks. She has a bunch of classics with great hiphop features. I don't know what people were expecting when Shakira and J-Lo are performing and Jay-Z is in charge of the entertainment aspect of the halftime show. I also don't see the Super Bowl as a kids event either. It's not like the NBA or MLB. It's a brutal sport. Also the NFL has been known for these type of halftime shows. At least some years. I don't even keep up with the NFL anymore. But I did watch parts of this game. Edited February 5, 2020 by Guest

No definitely not. Also I wouldn't equate watching the halftime show with going to the strip club. But I see what you're getting at. The NFL is Savage for sure. No argument there. little2add
One thing the halftime show wasn’t is an emphatic statement of feminist empowerment. It was Lewd, Crude, Disgusting. Nasty. Vulgar. Crossed the line. Glorified porn. Crass. Inappropriate. Gross and Sickening.
Seven77
Just to clarify: nothing wrong with the music as far as my previous post was concerned. Are there objectionable lyrics in their music – – sure, maybe, but that's not the purpose for me calling out the show. Modesty isn't just about dress, but also the way that one conducts oneself. Case in point: the pole and grinding. Those things were immodest. And I'm glad to know that you do agree that they should have been left out. Also, not casting stones at any one man. Not my intention and I hope I didn't come across that way. I don't know what is in their hearts and cannot condemn them, however I can judge the actions as well as the dress as decidedly immodest. Also, just because one is in fit physical condition does not give one the license to flaunt it around. Something sacred should not be treated as something trivial or mundane. That's the problem with immodesty. People can do whatever they want. But it doesn't mean that it's whatever. Yes, definitely those who easily fall by such things should definitely avoid it but I go further and say that even if one doesn't easily fall by such things, the spectacle was still not right and not modest by any stretch of the imagination. St. Agatha, who died and shed blood rather than betray Christ and give into unchastity and immodesty, on this your feast day, pray for us.

dominicansoul
I was looking forward to it because i like Shakira's music. I was not pleased with the performance, it was disgusting, vile and set women back a kabillion years to the caveman days. Women have to make up their minds, do they want to be respected as women, or objectified as sexual play things? You can't have both. There was nothing in this performance that enhanced the beauty of womankind. It was perverse, lewd, raunchy and disgusting... the caricature of true sexual beauty. little2add
FOX Sports, after giving a pro-life organization a six-month run-around, wouldn’t air its Super Bowl advertisement. Making matters worse, the network did air a commercial featuring Sexual Devolution activists and drag queens. Welcome to the new abnormal.
