He sounds very judgmental to me - judgmental of The Greatest Christians of All Time and also of the "slobby loser ordinary Catholics who sit in the back at Mass." He exhausts me with his haughty judgmentalism. Who are The Greatest Christians of All TIme? How can we identify them? Does "The Greatest Christians of All Time" refer to Catholics, or conservative Catholics, or megachurch pastors, or some other group? Did The Greatest Christians of All Time tell anyone that God anointed them to kick out everybody but the Elect from both the CHurch and the US, or is Mark Shea simply attributing that to them? Dogtag Posted February 2, 2020 Share Posted February 2, 2020 It is obvious that Mark Shea is being ironic when he says "greatest Christians of all time." He is speaking of extreme hypocrites who are following their own will and ideology and righteously slapping the label "Christian" onto their works. I too would prefer the mediocre Catholic to the ones who proclaim their own self righteousness, and in doing so anoint themselves as ministers of "God's justice."
