Great opportunity for those wanting to learn more about prayer and know more about Religious Life. No matter what a person is called to, we are called to Receive God's amazing Love and to share that love with others. "Receive Love - Be Love" Come and See Retreat I've just heard from Sr. Mary Michael, the original poster. She says that this Come & See event has been cancelled. For questions, I suggest you contact her directly through the mail function.

Luigi
The Trappist nuns of Mount Saint Mary's will have a virtual Come and See in August this year. ######################################### Friday, August 21, 2020 at 5 PM – 8 PM EDT Mount Saint Mary's Abbey--Wrentham, MA Public · Hosted by Mount Saint Mary's Abbey--Wrentham, MA In February and August each year, we offer Monastic Experience Weekends to give women discerning a religious vocation an immersion in our communal prayer and a taste of our way of life through the witness and experience of some of our sisters. These events also offer the joy of meeting other young women who are seeking their place in the Church. Time is provided for individual conversations with the sisters on the formation team. A weekend experience will not necessarily lead to a decision but it usually sheds light upon each one's path. Young women have found participating in this weekend helpful in their spiritual lives. If you are a single Catholic woman of any racial or ethnic background, between the ages of 20 and 40, you are most welcome. Come and see! PrayerSupporter
Discernment during this time of restrictions is still possible. The Archdiocese of Indianapolis posted the online edition of The Criterion today (October 30, 2020), which included a 2020 Vocations Awareness Supplement. One of the communities mentioned is the Carmelite monastery in Terre Haute, IN. Their vocation directress, Sister Clare Joseph Daniels, O.C.D.S., wrote an article in which, while acknowledging the restrictions currently in effect due to the COVID virus, noted: "We at the Carmelite Monastery of St. Joseph in Terre Haute remain available, however, for discernment with young women via e-mail, phone or Skype until it is safe to receive in-person visits." https://www.archindy.org/criterion/local/2020/10-30/s-carmelites.html
