monica_margaret
Recently my city's right to life campaign collected signatures for its annual ad, which they feature on billboards and in the newspaper. My parish always has a representative from there, and my friend made a bunch of rosaries to give to those who signed and donated. They're specifically pro-life rosaries, with different symbolism for the bead colors and special prayers to go along with it. It's a beautiful Rosary, and I decided I'd pray it tomorrow, the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, and throughout the whole weekend the March for Life takes place. Since I won't be able to go this year (I definitely want to someday!), I can at least be united in prayer. I'm also thinking of participating in the 40 Days for Life campaign and using this Rosary along with it. Has anyone heard of this before? If anyone is interested, here's a link where you can apparently get one and the prayers that go along with it! http://www.cfl-sacramento.org/traditional-pro-life-rosary/ Edited January 22, 2020 by monica_margaret
PaxHominibus
I have heard of this type of thing, if not this one. It begs the question, of course, why the normal Rosary with stated intentions is insufficient.
monica_margaret
I don't think it's anything about it being "insufficient" -- of course a regular Rosary is sufficient. This one is pretty much a normal Rosary, just with a few extra prayers for the protection of the unborn and specific pro-life intentions for each bead. There's nothing fundamental changed about it. I see nothing wrong with a few special prayers added onto the Rosary.
