I was walking with my friend today to 7-11 and i always get a jonessoda and take a look at the tabloids. On the front conver was a picture of the Pope being struck by a metoer (wasnt like a bad picture just his robes being pinned by it) so i was like who the heck believes this bologna. Then i open the mag and it has an article about how the Pope is suing madonna over the use of her name. But the article was about how the Pope was going for a walk and was hit by a meteor and it had happened before and all that bologna. I cannot believe people actually buy this stuff.

I must and they were saying that he was struck by a meteor on June 7th while staying at a country villa....first off the Pope NEVER stays under normal circumstances at a country villa its his personal villa and as i had thought and double checked on June 7th the Pope was in Swisteralnd (sp) .

I saw that same tabloid while standing in a very busy Safeway checkout line. I laughed out loud, and got a lot of weird looks.

Some arse portal made a scuplture of that very thing a couple years ago. I think it was put in some New York art museum. That's a quick ticket to hell.

I know the mag you are talking about. I used to read it at work a lot. I bought one that said "Saddam's WMD's FOUND: KILLER MAN EATTING DINOS!" LOL! Last Aug there was one that said "Pope missing: He seems to have just wandered off!" LOL!

lol, i work at martin's (its a local grocery store that has oodles of tabloids), and i love just reading them when i have some down-time! they're soooo unbelievable! it's hysterical! yes, some people buy them just for laughs... but other people buy them cuz they read them and acknowledge everything inside as the Gospel Truth (and we all know it isn't), and i find it kinda depressing... -_-

but some of the articles are just soooooo bogus it's drop-dead funny! :funeral:

I think like last month, one of the articles was how the Pope's hat was missing. LOL - it's funny how they use poking fun at Catholicism to sell their crappy magazine. ::sigh:: What's next?
