My pastor had a first class relic of Saint Philomena, but someone stole it....

hahaha knowing St. Philomena she is playing with the person who stole it...

or

not to say that this is your Pastor but St. Philomena is also known to make her relics disappear from people who are not taking care of the relics or are not honoring her...
I have a first class relic of St. Maria Goretti. I have developed a devotion to her as a result. It is a remarkable thing. God's Grace amazes me. I won't bother anyone with the story (nor do I desire to tell it) but nothing could have been more fitting than for this relic to have come into my possession when it did. I can assure you that's not the case. I'm more inclined to believe the person who took needed the holiness in their life.

YKC!

Ohhhhhh... sorry, I should've clarified! The relics are NOT for sale!!! The Catholic bookstore has a little shrine to Miguel Pro and have MANY relics of saints! The owner belongs to some group and he gets relics or something.... That sounds kinda' bad, but I'm not sure how it works out! But, they really do have multiple relics of many different holy figures in the Church.
I'll look later and see if they have a website...

Pax Christi,
Rebecca

First Class Relics - Actual part of a saint (a bone, a hair, a limb, etc.)
Second Class Relics - An item that the saint wore (a sock, a shirt, a glove, etc.)
Third Class Relics - The Third Class Relics above fall into 2 categories.  The first category is a piece of cloth touched to the body of a saint .  The second category is a piece of cloth brought to the shrine (or site of the vision) of the saint.
I have a second-class relic of Ven. Solanus Casey. It is a piece of his habit. Further, my Aunt made sandwiches with him once.

 • 5 weeks later...

I have 2nd Class relics from St. Martin dePorres, Bl. John XXIIII, and Bl. Francis Xavier Seelos - it's a piece of John XXIII's papal burial robe, and the other two are pieces of their burial habits. I recently brought back some water from Lourdes, and I have third class relics from St. Vincent DePaul, St. Catherine Laborde, the Littleflower, and St. Benedict.
