Invalid Ordination

In the ordination ceremony there are three questions that the candidate must reply to.  If he, through nervousness etc, replies incorrectly, does that make the ordination invalid?

I saw that happen once. I cantored ordinations. I didn’t really hear what he said. He was speaking very softly. However the Archbishop leaned over and said something quietly to him and chuckled. He then repeated what he said and I guess got the correct answer.

It was 30 years ago, so my memory isn’t sharp but it was the first time I saw someone laugh during the ceremony. Afterwards there are lots of smiles and laughter, but not usually during. Most of the guys looked like they were ready to throw up during.
