28yrolddiscerner
Hi all, So here’s the question. A priest didn’t want to do confession at night after Mass, but he did it for me. He wrapped things up quickly so I said my Act of Contrition and left. The problem is I didn’t finish saying one of my sins. Should I go back to another confession for that one sin before I receive? Or am I okay to receive??? It was one I have trouble talking about, and yet he was kind of rushing me. I could tell he felt put upon. thank you
truthfinder
Hi there, if it's a venial sin; it's fine, and you're absolved. If it was a mortal sin, you tried to confess it, and you're still absolved. If it was mortal, at your next regular confession, just tell father that you felt rushed and tried to confess 'x' last time. Don't worry; it happens.
