Guest KarenJo
I came across a post by a priest that said that by giving money or viewing shows with sinful things like impure content, was proximate material cooperation and therefore illicit because it helped pay for a show that puts others in occasion of sin. Although I am confused because the catholic church says nothing about it being a sin, and the vatican has even come up with a list before of movies containing such things and blasphemy etc. And besides that, the bible also has some impure things in it as well. So, the material cooperation makes sense to me, but then I think about the church's actions and I am so confused. Is it proximate or remote our cooperation? Maybe you guys can break it down for me? CatherineM
Oh boy. I think material cooperation is a bit of a stretch, but I don’t support things with my money that are morally reprehensible. That’s more to protect myself than to punish them.
