ThyWillBeDone
I have an NAB, and was considering buying another translation but don't know what to get, I am leaning toward, Douay-Rheims or Jerusalem but I thought I would see what you all think. cmotherofpirl
The RSV-CE is the most accurate translation. It all depends on how much money you have to spend. If you can afford it and want to do some serious study, start buying the Navarre Bible [it comes in separate volumes]. If you like Scot Hahn and love details, start buying the St Ignatius Study Bibles. I has amazingly good footnotes.
StColette
I really like the Douay Rheims version, so I have to go with that one
cmotherofpirl
You can probably get a DRB at a used bookstore.

RandomProddy
I think you should get that new bible from england that the protostant arch bishop of cantibury approved of
Protestant? I'm not that sure he qualifies as christian.. Bear in mind the Archbishop speaks for the communion here but he is a titular head unlike the Pope's position in the Catholic Church. Of the list you gave, the RSV-CE would be the better. Incidentally, the RSV itself is Anglican so meh
Rebirth flame
the RSV is a very good study bible, 'tis the one that i'd like to use if i had money to get a new Bible. NAB's are good for me at the time-being, but in the apologetics class i'm in, the teacher highly reccommended checkin out an RSV-CE. Peace, and God Bless ya! ~rebirth
BeenaBobba
RSV-CE. Good study Bible. God bless, Jen
IcePrincessKRS
DRB or RSV-CE. I have a soft bound RSV-CE from college, but I would really like to get a nice hard bound Bible (I'd actually like to get both a DRB and a RSV-CE).
MorphRC
Get the DRV!!! That is the best one, and the original English Bible. If anyone says Wycliffes was,,im gonna scream...lol
MorphRC
Oh and the DRV is the only Bible that has 'Full of Grace' for Luke 1:28. I heard the RSV-CE did, but I checked that at a catholic shop and had the prot rendering 'Favoured one'.
