Informal Survey/ Getting Ideas!

Would like to get ideas, what would prevent you from joining a congregation or religious orders coming from Third World countries like Africa, Philippines, Vietnam or India who has appstolic activities here? Especially when during formation you will be sent to these countries and most likely do the works there.

Weather, language and cultural barrier, educational quality, discrimination, fear of moving out the US, very authoritarian superiors based on their culture, sanitation etc? 

This caught my curiosoty as I have met a discerning woman accidentally and got discourage joining an African sisters since she may encounter problems with authority and the level of education of the sisters seems inadequate and she may be misunderstood as being direct. She worries about adjusting as well especially to an African climate and food. Sanitation worries her too
