Avicenna did... he talked about those who denied the law of non contradiction should be beaten.
"Anyone who denies the law of non-contradiction should be beaten and burned until he admits that to be beaten is not the same as not to be beaten, and to be burned is not the same as not to be burned."

I think it about time someone wrote a letter like that to her. It is a shame it probably didn't effect her at all
God Bless,

I disagree with the statement above. Fr. Euteneuer's letter was NOT mean spirited, it was the truth. When someone is in a position of political power like Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), she has an amazing opportunity to both stick up for her faith and defend what's morally right, or to ignore it completely. Pelosi calls herself Catholic- yet she is pro-choice (and supports homosexual marriage). Not only is this a complete contradiction to our Church’s teachings, but if we, as Catholics, sit by silently and just watch this happen, people around the country are going to get a false impression of what the Catholic Church believes. Showing compassion as an exception to moral norms is not showing compassion at all. Chrysologus, would you agree that it is the job of our bishops and priests to defend our faith, to uphold Christ’s teachings? Or should they just sit by and watch as people as Pelosi literally throw their faith out the window, without saying a word? “Don’t repay evil for evil-” how is speaking the Truth evil? I think one thing that’s key to remember here is that there is such a thing as righteous anger- and I think defending the unborn is certainly righteous. You have a great point by thinking that being too harsh on someone is not going to make them change their ways, or attract them to Chirst- but at the same time, there is a time and a place to really take a stand defend what's right, and personally I believe this was an awesome example.
