But if you want to provide a source for what you just said (something that points to actual Church teaching, rather than a random pope quote), I would be willing to read that. But if you want to provide a source for what you just said (something that points to actual Church teaching, rather than a random pope quote), I would be willing to read that. what do you base your decisions on if not pope quotes? in the pope quotes i linked, they said people have a right to get the resources they need to survive. they also said the government has a role to ensure that that happens. healthcare is out of touch to most people, so the government should correct the situation. as far as i'm aware, the quotes i linked you to have as much weight as anything you are basing your decision on, and that's not to mention that socialism isn't the same as a safety net anyway. Including birth control, free abortion for healthy viable fetus is not or should not (can not) be part of any such plan.
