ThomasPeter
in Scripture it says we will be judged on how we judge others. i think i tend to be rather judgemental at times. this could be because i am a late teen who knows how to do everything right and everyone over 30 doesnt. so in confession i often admit to being "rash" "judgemental" etc... my question is, when we confess times of "judging" others is that judging still held against us? if i judge someone harshly, but then confess to doing it will i still be judged on that bassis? also, do i have to be specific when confessing those things; like one does for a mortal sin? as in what i judged and number of times? thank you! tom
BLAZEr
Confession wipes your slate clean, if you are sorry for your sins. The reason you are going to confession is to change, to become a person who is not as judgemental, right? The bible says "judge not lest ye be judged" and it says "forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us." Christ here is remding us that judging others is ultimately God's job. Our job as Christians is to love without measure. I think you sound like your doing your best to be on that path. Keep up the good work! Keep confessing, keep resisting sin, keep striving for holiness. God is merciful
