(In regards to masturbation)[/quote] What about if you're not even sure if you actually did it or not (for example just before you're fully awake and you're not even sure if you were actually doing it or just dreaming?) because there was a bit of temptation and my then-muddled brain was trying to hold it off, thinking I shouldn't be doing stuff like that, it's sinful, and then i drift off. Next thing I know, I'm fully awake and I'm not even sure if I did it deliberately or not! I didn't feel any arousal or anything, but I still felt "sensitive around the chest area" if you know what I mean, it could have been because I had turned over and let a breeze come through a gap in the blankets (even right now it's freezing)? BLAZEr
You should probably mention this in the confessional anyway, especially if you are not sure whether you are doing this deliberately or not. For instance, if your intention is to get aroused and commit an impure act but try to fall asleep before you "finish" this is most likely a sin. The intention is enough. However, if these are instnaces where you are asleep and you wake up during it, or immediately after and you think you might have, but aren't sure, this is probably not a sin. You can only sin if you have full use of your will. What you dream is not something you can entirely control. I recommend you speak with a priest about this.
