For a friend who took her own life, for my work, and for my students

A friend took her own life a week ago. Please pray for her family, and the repose of her soul. She was in a psychiatric hospital at the time. Pray for the other patients from her ward, who are devastated by what's happened.

My publisher gave me an extension after Faith died, but I really must get the manuscript to them soon. Please ask God to help me finish it this week. I have so many other things to do and I can't afford to spend much longer on it.

And finally, for my students. They've just handed in their first major assignment of the semester. Some of them have tried really hard, but are struggling with certain aspects of academic writing and essay structure, and I fear that they may be disappointed to get lacklustre results. I don't want them to be discouraged. Others aren't trying at all. Please pray that they are inspired to do better in the second half of the semester.
