Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
Pax. When saint Paul says that he became all things to all people does this mean going to pagan festivals and partaking in there ceremonies or is it a invite to just love them and not think ourselves above or something else? Norseman82
Well, you could read on in the passage where it says that "to the weak I became weak to win over the weak". In other words, he tried to find a common frame of reference with the people he was preaching to so that they could relate. Of course, the ultimate example was Jesus becoming man in the hypostatic union; he used parables as examples that the people that he dealt with (mostly rural Galileans) could easily understand. Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
Yes try and strengthen the light the non believer already has, its kind of like courting where you try and see the good in the person not the bad and try and encourage and strengthen what is good about the person to win there heart.
