truthfinder Posted December 18, 2017 Share Posted December 18, 2017 Yes, they've been around for a couple years, and hopefully someone can give you more detail, but they emerged out of the Community of St John after the it was having a lot of problems and the community was dissolved. TheresaThoma Posted December 18, 2017 Share Posted December 18, 2017 Just to clarify the Community of St John is still in existence, both the brothers, apostolic sisters and the contemplative sisters. It was a group that broke off from the Community of St John and were founding a new community that was dissolved. There were a lot of issues during that time. The Sisters of Mary Morning Star was founded by some of the Sisters from that group that was dissolved to carry on the work/charism but with the hope of a "fresh start".
