A woman should submit to her husband

Although in principal, 'the chick should submit'...  but that's just my opinion there....

I think people need to know the proper meaning of the word 'submit'/'submission.' Too many people get bent out of shape without knowing the context of a wife submitting to her husband.

First off, the husband should treat his wife in such a way that the wife enjoys submitting to him. The Church isn't talking about a husband ruling with an iron fist and making his wife miserable. Pope Pius XI in Casti Connubii used beautiful language when he said that the husband is the head of the home and the wife is the heart. Jesus said a man would leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife, and the two would become one flesh. That one flesh is going to be in disorder with two heads and no heart or two hearts and no head. The two need to work in harmony. 

A wife submitting to her husband simply means she loves and nurtures him and their children and the husband cherishes and protects his wife and their children. It's that simple.
