I thoroughly disagree with that. I do not agree with same-sex mariages and would never be involved in one but I do not think gays should be hated. With that said, I should add that I do not think same-sex marriages should be allowed in the church strictly because if you are going to say that you are a Catholic and believe the teachings of the church and Bible then you should obey the church and Bible to your best ability and I believe that being gay, you are commiting a very big sin therefore you can't truthfully declare that you are Catholic.
Nobody said gays should be hated.
People which same -sex attraction are not sinning by being attracted to the same sex. The sin is having sexual relationship outside of marriage. All Christians, of any sexual attraction and called to chastity outside of marriage. There are many people with SSA who are faithful Catholics.
Action=sin, not attraction.
You know, this anti-KJV-ism seems more like a zealous rejection of KJV-onlyism than an actual opinion. While the KJV - like all translations - has flaws, it has had an influence on the English language comparable only to Shakespeare. It is beautifully written, poetic, and very prayerful. I keep a KJV as I find it helps get me in a more reverent mood than the rather harsh English of modern translations. English lost some of her poetry a few centuries ago, and the KJV is a relic of that time. In addition, the care taken in making sure the translation was _skillfully written_ is unmatched in any translation before or since, although I hear the Jerusalem is very poetic.
If you want beautiful poetic language and a good translation, piuck up a copy of the New English Bible.

Yep, essentially, one is sin and the other is temptation.

Just a clarification, I don't like the KJV because I think it was translated from bad sources. I said nothing about KJV-onlyism.

but now that i read the article: Oh my! This is horrible. Satan is crafty and wise, and what better way to achive his agenda than change the scriptures themselves in small suttle ways over time

On a related note, if you check online dictionaries, many of them have redefined marriage to be PC.

Thank God for books.
I think "Good as New" is a fitting title and a flambouyant sign of just what it means to be part of this "New Age" society. I place special emphasis on the homosexual connotation of the word "flambouyant" I used in the first sentence because this translation blatantly flaunts its support for homosexual marriage and also FORNICATION, which, of course, the Church of England seems to support more and more these days.
I think that the reason for this is that many Protestant sects, though certainly not all, have begun to embrace the idea of "God loves you anyway" to such an extent that your sins don't matter. They hold the philosophy of "sin all you want, God doesn't mind, he loves you anyway." Then it goes even further: "sin all you want, God doesn't mind, and since He doesn't mind, he's sort of promoting it." Still further: "sin...promoting it, in fact, He really wants you to sin, because then He can forgive you even more." Still further: "sin...forgive you even more, in fact, that's the whole reason Christ died, to allow you to sin without fear of punishment, however just it may be."

Many of the sects have embraced the "hippy Jesus" philosophy and I think it's really Satan trying to twist the definitions of "justice" and "mercy".

The fact is, God will love you anyway. God loves everything but sin itself; He even loves Satan...but look what He did to Satan...

The trouble is, if you tell that to many of these people, they will say, "but God loves us anyway, He wouldn't send us to hell!"

My response: "He's not sending you to hell, you're sending yourselves to hell!"

Given the homosexual bishop, the pro-abort and pro-contraception standpoints, and now this...I think the Anglicans who try to remain faithful are going either going to convert to Catholicism or go into a schismatic Anglican sect.

Or "The Bishops formerly known as Princes"
