Marsabielle
Having experience in religious life, and raising a teenager Hi all, I am asking all of you fine catholic homemakers how you bring the liturgy alive for your families – specifically your children. Having experience in religious life, and raising a teenager, I'm wondering how to bring the liturgical calendar into our home more. It's Our Lady's birthday-woot!-so we prayed a special prayer and will eat out tonight for the feast.. I guess I want to try to capture for my sister (the teen who lives with me) what made the feast days SO doggone exciting in the convent. thanks for any advice. CatherineM
I have a book called Prayers for the Domestic Church that lots of neat prayers to use in the home. I also love those liturgical calendars that spin. It shows the color of the day, and I used to have a set of cloth napkins in the four liturgical colours that I rotated for dinner use.
