Indeed. It is confusing when you're starting out, and then it's confusing during Advent, Christmas, Lent, and Easter.

We like to call that flipping season @ Newman where we only have Shorter Christian Prayer...

I was first introduced to the liturgy of the hours at my Newman Center. We pray Evening Prayer after weekday Mass because Fr always likes to pray it with others when possible. It is very confusing for newcomers, but you get into the rhythm of it. I love praying it, so I got the Christian Prayer book for myself. I love night prayer the most, it is such a beautiful way to end the day!

My campus minister and I had a liturgy of the hours geek moment one time at the Cardinal's house. We were at the Cardinal's house for a dinner for women considering religious vocations and we started the night by praying Evening Prayer. They only handed out a copy on a piece of paper and my Campus Minister and I just knew by looking at it that it was not the correct one for the day.

Mrs. Bro. Adam

It's really not so hard when you use the guidebook that comes with it. It tells you where you need to be each day and eventually ya' catch on. I know they are pretty cheap
