The Family of Jacopa Association is a Public Association of the Christian Faithful in the Diocese of Steubenville. We accept single Catholic women over 40 yrs. old. The Sisters live at the Motherhouse, "Mary, Ark of the Covenant Monastery" in Steubenville right next to Franciscan University of Steubenville and the Dedicated Widows/Single members live in their own homes anywhere. The Dedicated are like a Third Order (no habit). We are Franciscan, contemplative/active and wear a traditional habit. We chant the entire Divine Office in English and we assist at all of the approved forms of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass of the Roman/Latin Rite. We love the TLM. Our main apostolate approved by our Bishop is prayer and service to widows. As we grow we will expand to other apostolates.
