Luigi
The Diocese of Charlotte, North Carolina was established in 1972. I don't what arrangements they have for diocesan seminarians right now, but they're planning to establish a minor seminary in collaboration with Belmont Benedictine Abbey. Sort of good news, wouldn't you say? In this era of reduced vocations and all? http://belmontabbeycollege.edu/about/st-joseph-college-seminary/
Sponsa-Christi
Very good news indeed! Seminaries are actually slowly filling up these days. E.g., fifteen years ago the North American College in Rome was barely half-full. Now, I understand there's basically a waiting list to get in. Totally Franciscan
If I recall correctly, the PCPA's in Charlotte were going to share land for their new monastery and a new seminary. Of course, those PCPA's have returned to OLAM, but wonder if this seminary will be on that same land. Has anyone heard?
