OnlySunshine
My uncles and other family, including my mom and I, went to visit with my grandfather for what we thought would be one of the last visits. However, it was discovered that he had been given too much narcotic medication for his broken shoulder. As the visit progressed, he was able to be roused by stimulation as well as taking fluids if they were dropped into his mouth from a straw. He was unable to talk, but was grunting when people would ask him questions, which was a good sign. We think that after the medication has metabolized out of his system, he will be more alert and responsive. Tonight will be the critical night. I'm glad I got to spend time with him regardless as I had not seen him in a while. Please continue to pray for him and my family.
