RandomProddy
You obviously didn't read very carefully did you?
I did, the only thing I wasn't sure about was whether you have childern or not (didn't know). As you don't, it's probably going to be ok, but it's your call. Good luck and God bless. Mrs. Bro. Adam
Yes, it's our call. And more importantly, it's God's call. We see God calling him to take this job, so he needs to take it, so he took it. I've had quite a bit of experience trying to tell God what I am and not going to do. It wasn't a pretty turn out when I did that.
mmmerf
Speaking as a member of the fellowship of the ring... (A married man, that is)... I'd say do it. The time apart will make you appreciate each other a lot more than you already do, and will enrich your marriage in the long run. A year ago I was offered a job in Antarcitca for a year. My wife said I should think about it (because with the phat antarctic bling I'd make, she'd get to study in Rome for a year) but when my parish priest got wind of the idea he *FREAKED*. Put me under holy obedience not to go. Yeep. But two months when you can get home every weekend, that's doable. Dave

Mrs. Bro. Adam
Wow! Why didn't your priest want you to go?
He said that was too long, and that choosing to be *that far* away for that long without an urgent reason would be less than what I promised when I married my wife. (on the side I wonder if he wasn't also worried about losing a catechist...) (just kidding!) Dave

Janana8706
ok, I haven't read all of these, but my dad did that for about six months and my parents are fine. Even if later on in life, you have to leave again for the week, I don't see y your love couldn't surpass this. The people in the army can do it for over a year. Jake Huether
We'll keep you company! I think collectively we should be able to make up for the lack of Adam. Hahaha. I remember when I first started dating Erika, she left for her home country, Peru. She was gone for 2 months (the length of school summer vacation). That was VERY trying on our relationship. Of course, we had only been dating for like 2 months also. But yeah, it wasn't very fun without her. My prayers are with you. Take care.
