Brother Adam
I've been offered a job for really good money. I mean, really good money, which is full time, with a company car, gas paid for, my time on the road going to work paid for, full benefits, the who package. But it would mean living in a hotel during the week and only being home on the weekends. It would last for two months having to leave the state (then I would be working here and staying at home), but it is so hard to decide if I want to be away from my love that long. homeschoolmom
<Good golly, that woman has a two bit opinion on everything> <ehem...> Yes, I do. Two months is doable. HSdad and I lived apart for several months our first year married (it was ) and we didn't even have email... if it can help you in the long run, I'd say it's worth considering... hopeful1
I'd say it's worth it. I know it'll be hard being away for so long, but it sounds like it wouldn't be too bad. You do get to see her on weekends, and you can call and email each other in the meantime. Plus it sounds like you get a big return in the end. I'd agree with HSmom. I'd consider it. IcePrincessKRS
My grandparents lived apart for a whole year when they first got married (Poppi lived in TX and Grandma lived in NY). Its doable, you just have to look at it from all angles and decide if its the right thing for you guys. Does this mean you won't be able to go to school? Would you rather go to school than take this job? How does Teresa feel about you being gone? etc.
Thy Geekdom Come
Keeping in mind that I'm not married, I think I'd go for it. Two months really isn't that long, and you can be back on weekends, which is cool. May I ask what kind of job it is?
cmotherofpirl
Think of it this way, every weekend could be a honeymoon.

Brother Adam
It's water and air balancing. Basically, once a building is finished being built, we go in and inspect all of the piping for water flow, and the air for proper air flow through the building. It takes a lot of work, complex math, and problem solving skills (and I'd kill for any regular job that uses your brain).
crusader1234
Its only for 2 months?
Brother Adam
On one building, yes. They get a job out of state about once every few years. Then I would be working in the West-Mid Michigan area (and be home every night until I moved to Franciscan.
crusader1234
Well, then I'd suggest doing it... and I mean Teresa could go with you sometimes right?

You know, if building is your expertise...there might really be a job in Omaha for you...lot's of construction... If my grandfather still owned his company (lol...if he were still alive), I'd make sure you got hired!
