How Do You Feel About The War?

I know a few guys in the Resevere. They are in a medical unit. All the doctors are roaring mad about it. Most didn't support the war, but had to go, and went. Thinking, I am not active duty personal, we will go home after the fall. They have been overseas and on active for about 2 years now. All the doctors are bankrupt and have nothing to return to. Fort McCoy is border line raving anti war anti Bush.

As a draftage male. I will not be voting for Bush. I hate cowboys.

i know two people who went off to the war and its been really hard on their and our family. At first, when the war first started, i was so mad at Bush. i had been hearing from many of my friends that the only reason that he declared war was because he was just finishing off the war that his father had started. that made me completely furious!! then about 1 year ago i found out that my cousin, stationed at Fort Hood, was being sent off. i got sooo scared and even more mad at Bush. but then Bush started to turn things around a little by "reconstruction iraq" so that eased me a little. but then i hear more and more of suicide bombings that kill our soldiers and the beheading of innocent captives. i mean...WHATS WITH THAT!!!??? this is insane. our society is already bad enough we dont need Bush to screw us up even more!!! GET HIM OUT OF THERE AND DONT RE-ELECT HIM!!

I have strong feelings toward this war, since my brother is in the army and just returned in March from being in Iraq for a year. He missed out on sooooo much. I'm his youngest sister and he had to miss my high school graduation which nearly broke his heart. But he had a job to do and I understand that completely. Not only must I worry about my brother but also about my sister because she is also in the military, the Navy. Having siblings that could be sent off at any moment really makes you dislike any type of war, it makes you not only realize the suffering of families of US soldiers but all families of every nation that have lost someone during a war or have been seperated from their loved ones because of a war. What has me nervous now is that somewhere between now and the first of the year my brother will be sent back over to Iraq for another year maybe longer or shorter depending upon what goes on. The scarest thing is when you know where your family member is stationed and you hear on the news that there has been an accident over there. You immediately run for the computer type up an email send it to them and pray for a reply. Those types of things are some of the scarest moments you can encounter.

God Bless,
StColette

Thy Geekdom Come

I know a few soldiers, my cousin was a marine, a friend's brother is a soldier, and I can't see any disapproval among any of them.

As most of you know, I'm totally against the war. In my (and the Pope's) opinion it doesn't meet just war criteria.

In any event, admit that the waters around you have grown and you better start swimming or you'll sink like a stone.

Peace,

Rich

If he isn't re-elected, Kerry will be elected and screw up our society even more by allowing the brutal murder of innocent children within the womb. I'd rather have war than that, thank you.

I'm not totally against the war Saddam was killing thousands of pple jsut b/c that's how he is, i figure that we should help other human beings. I do wish we would have done it differently though.

You have TWO siblings in the military? I have a cousin in it and it's really hard!! They were telling about a man who died this week. His brother died last year and he had a fiance (sp?). :sadder: I'll pray for you!!! I don't blame you for being worried! I'm sure that God will protect your siblings and that if anything happens to them it will b/c of His Will! Also, your pham is always hear to listen to any of your worries!! :hearts:

me neither. i mean we know for a fact that Saddam was supportive of Al Quaida, we know there were weapons unacounted for, it was quite a dangerous situation out there. all saddam hadta do was give us the info about what happened to those WMDs (like 12 years of UN resolutions had been demanding). to vote for John Kerry is wrong, he is a hypocritical Catholic who supports militantly the "right" of a woman to kill her baby, and really has no good ideas to change the current situation in Iraq. All he has is some ideas about the economy that might almost potentially help it out (as if it really needs being helped out). Kerry is the wrong choice for a faithful pro-life Catholic. Period. end of story.

I have mixed feelings about the war. One of my cousins was just serving in the Navy in the Persian Gulf (I'm not sure if he's home yet). I have an uncle in the Naval Reserve and another cousin in the Marines.

But I think that what's done is done, and we have to do the responsible thing and take care of the situation, and help the Iraqis get back to normal.

Most importantly, Kerry cannot be re-elected, because he is staunchly pro-abortion.

I support the war because
1) they have found the wepons
2) saddam supported al quieda(sp?)
3) saddam funded anti Jewish terrorists
4) sadam murrded thousands of inocent people and was a horrible ruler to his people
5) the iraqi people deserve a democracy

yea kerry scares me

i pray that he doesnt get elected
