Jake Huether
Urrr! I was reading this: http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor...h/bush_cia_leak And it occurred to me... It isn't just the person who leaked the info. It should be a huge crime for the stupid media people to publish the info. I mean, yeah, it's the guys fault for leaking the info. But he's not the one that makes it public. Don't those media folk have consciences too. Was it not on that publishers mind how this info could be damaging? I almost blew a gasket last week when reading about Paul Johnson Jr. The immature and stupid and jackass media had the gall to release info on Paul that probably cost him his life! Does the public need to know that Paul was a father of two, and a good husband. Do we need to know that Paul was working on some military project for Lockheed Martin?? Do we really need to know all about Paul. This is info that's probably pumped right into all the terrorist networks and appears on their PC's in flashing colors. Had Paul been a single guy with no family at all, would the odds of him being killed have diminished? You bet! Granted, the terrorists knew already that he was working for Lockheed – they had his id, etc., but had they not known that he was working on some military equipment, do you think there would have been a threat to his life? Much less! It just bugs me to NO END how selfish and stupid our media is. Talk about being patriotic. I'll bet you that the media itself is the cause of a good percentage of the deaths in this war. They'd rather put the lives of American soldiers in jeopardy, than to pass up their "big bucks" paycheck. AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Stop the madness. Okay. I feel a little better. Thanks for listening...
1337 k4th0l1x0r
I agree with you wholeheartedly. I think a big part of the problem is that people don't think there should be any secrets. The creed for society has now become "Let everyone decide for themselves." This is apparent across all of modern society. The media tries to play themselves off just as presenting the facts, and if people make negative choices based on that information, they aren't to blame. If I go around telling information, maybe not even secrets, about my best friend that isn't really necessary for others to know, and knowledge of that information has a direct impact on his friendship with others, am I to blame for that? You bet! The dissemination of classified information is what really really irks me. We as American citizens, and citizens of the free world, have a duty to protect this information if it has been given to us, intentionally or unintentionally. Information gets classified for reasons, it's not an arbitrary process to keep people in the dark. It's for protection of the lives of people and protection of national security. Thy Geekdom Come
Ditto. And all the media outlets provide information that is not supposed to get out, even FOXnews-"We Report, You Decide".
Iacobus
I love who leaked that in the media. It looks like a WH house guy leaked it to a Neo Con journalist (Turker something) who than published it. Please, your claim be the a member of the party of morals.

Iacobus
No. I am saying it was published by a converative writer. Why did he write it? I wanna see him see Leavenworth. Along with Rove or whoever did it in the WH.
1337 k4th0l1x0r
Herein lies the difference between Republicans and Democrats. We republicans think what was done was terrible, no matter who did it. Whether it was a republican or a democrat, it doesn't make a difference; the person should be reprimanded. Bill Clinton lies about getting some action to a court of law and the democrats all come to his defense saying perjury is ok for him.
Lil Red
we can't go back to the days where the American public was kept in the dark about everything, but neither can we continue as we are. We need to have a balance.

If it wastes other people's money, do it. It is provided health care that takes years to get appointments, do it. If it makes you feel lustful, do it. and now...If it works, use it.
