*applause* we debated on this topic for hours in Apologetics class, and kids just made up their own story on what will happen.. we DON'T know how many people will go to Heaven, or if some great saints or Mary will have a role in it. we just don't.
True, but I mean some people take it so far its not funny, and its seriously bordering on heresy, I mean someone said 'Mary and Jesus[or God the Father?] would come running after us to hug us, I mean, HUH? Theres no such thing in Scripture or Tradition, unless its been added after the 4th century, they forgot what Ironmonk wrote about 'divinization' of us into God. Who knows.. Rebirth flame
i don't know what will happen at the end time, mainly cuz it's never come before, and obviously still hasn't come if your reading this post... i do know, tho, that we will undergo a judgement at the time of our death, and then at the end time, we will all be judged, reguardless of whether or not we already were. i dunno what will happen then, and frankly, i don't think i'm gonna worry too much, so long as i live a good, Catholic life. well, i shouldn't say that, cuz i should always worry about whether or not i please God with my actions, but i shouldn't have a whole lot to worry about if i do very little to displease Him. obviously, i can't do nothing to displease Him, cuz that would make me perfect and, in essence, God Himself, and thus, saying such would surely merit my damnation... i do, however, like to think about what will happen, as many people do because what we don't know the answer to can fascinate us, especially on something as rare as the Final Judgement (so rare, in fact, that it only comes once! ). Rebirth flame
ok, i found something that might prove interesting to the peeps who want Mary with them at their judgment! (it's a good thing!) http://www.emmerich1.com/Seven_Sorrows_of_Mary.htm in case yur like me and wouldn't click the link, i'lll post here what is important from that article. It talks about the Seven Dolors (sorrows) of Mary. Everyone who prays seven Hail Mary's daily and meditates on the seven sorrows daily will gain seven graces. here are the graces, i have highlighted the one that applies to this conversation:
1. I will grant peace to their families. 2. They will be englightened about the divine mysteries. 3. I will console them in their pains and I will accompany them in their work. 4. I will give them as much as they ask for as long as it does not oppose the adorable will of my divine Son or the sanctification of their souls. 5. I will defend them in their spiritual battles with the infernal enemy and I will protect them at every instant of their lives. 6. I will visibly help them at the moment of their death, they will see the face of their Mother. 7. I have obtained(This Grace) from my divine Son, that those who propagate this devotion to my tears and dolors, will be taken directly from the earthly life to eternal happiness since all their sins will be forgiven and my Son and I will be their eternal consolation and joy.
That was promised to any who meditate daily on what is in that link. This was given to us through an apparition of Mary to St. Bridget. pax Christi ~rebirth Edited July 7, 2004 by Rebirth flame
Guest JeffCR07
Moreover, I would like to note that the Seven Dolors of Mary, though not defined as truth by the Magisterium, is very much a tradition of our (the Latin) Rite of the Church, and to use it as support for an argument is most certainly valid, though not necessarily an authoritative conclusion to the discussion. conservativecatholic
Our Lady will comfort the hurt and heal the wounded. She will also bring non-believers to justice. What will God do with those who consistently bash and deny Mary? I predict that Mama and her Son won't be happy!
StColette
Our Lady will comfort the hurt and heal the wounded. She will also bring non-believers to justice. What will God do with those who consistently bash and deny Mary? I predict that Mama and her Son won't be happy!
My dad and I have discussed what will happen to those who have denied who Mary is in relation to our belief. We've been reading many books on her apparitions across the world and we've come across one simple promise that she made, that all will know who she is. So maybe someday they will realize their mistakes they have made toward her. I pray that they do learn because they are missing out on a very important person in their lives. But I don't think Mary is angry or ever has been angry, it's not in her nature, she is hurt more than anything that people refuse to see the truth, and refuse to belong to God.
