New Doctor Visits

I already have 2 new doctor visits lined up in the next 2 months, but I'm hoping to add a third this week.  One is for a specialist ENT (neurotologist) for my vertigo/hearing loss and the other is a psychiatrist for my depression/anxiety since it's worsening and my primary doctor is limited in what she can prescribe.  I'm hoping to get an appointment with an endocrinologist to sort out my issues with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.  My OB/Gyn keeps throwing birth control pills, patches, or shots at me and they aren't working - they also give me horrible side effects.

After a lot of research, I found an endocrinologist who has a special interest in PCOS so I'm hoping she'll be more helpful.  I have an appointment with my OB/Gyn on the 18th as both a follow-up and annual exam.  The last time I saw him, it was apparent that he likes to stay in his "comfort zone" and prescribe only traditional hormone therapy instead of thinking outside the box and allowing for alternate therapies.  I really would like to try more natural approaches because I firmly believe the artificial hormones cause more harm than good, but I also don't want more surgery down the line so I need to be on something to help prevent further cysts and prevent endometrial cancer (my grandmother had it and she has had the same problems I'm experiencing).  I would like to try micronized progesterone as it's more bioidentical, but my OB/Gyn doesn't like to prescribe it for anything other than pregnant women who have had miscarriages.  I has other uses - one of them is preventing the formation of ovarian cysts AND preventing endometrial hyperplasia (both of which I have).

Please say some prayers that these visits go well and I can get back to feeling healthy again.  My health has been suffering quite a bit lately - both mentally and physically - and I've had to request intermittent FMLA for fear I may lose my job without some mode of protection.
