Medication Problems

For the past 2 days, I've been using a mood stabilizer to try to get my depression and anxiety under control.  I was already on an antidepressant and PRN anti-anxiety medication.  The new medication is making me too groggy and disconnected to be able to function normally.  I feel like I don't have any energy whatsoever and I'm afraid to drive or go to work in this state.  Yesterday, I felt like a walking zombie and wanted to go to sleep at work (NOT a good thing at all).  I tried taking it around dinnertime last night to see if that would help but I still felt so drowsy today that all I wanted to do was sleep (I kept catching myself nodding off).  Sleeping too much causes my depression to worsen, so this is not helpful.  I decided to discontinue the medication since many official websites say this is a very common side effect which does not lessen over the course of using it.  I would rather use my anti-anxiety medication more often than continue with this new medication because the PRN medication does not cause me to fall asleep - it just helps calm my anxiety.

Please say some prayers that I can find a good psychiatrist to discuss my symptoms with.  I plan to make the call on Monday to a behavioral health clinic to set up the initial appointment.  Unfortunately, since I've stopped seeing my psychiatrist at the state clinic and it's been over 6 months, I'd have to start all over again with group therapy (does not work for me) and I would rather not do that.  My hope is that my intermittent FMLA will be approved rather quickly so I can use it as soon as possible for doctor's appointments and behavioral therapy.
