OnlySunshine
Please continue to say prayers for me as they are working. Last week, I saw my doctor and she put me on a higher, more continuous dose of the medication I've been on for the past 7 years for my depression/anxiety. I had been well up until before my tonsillectomy and then everything spiraled downhill when I got back to work. The schedule was a mess and we had a LOT of turnover. There were some nights where I had to come home and watch comedy or I was going to start crying - it was my coping mechanism. Then, one night, I just couldn't control the tears anymore and I felt like quitting my job - I felt like I was pushed to the limit. I immediately got in touch with my doctor because I didn't want anything to happen that I'd regret. The medication she prescribed me required a prior authorization form so I had to wait a day while it processed (the dose was higher than what was allowed by my HMO), but I've been on it for a few days and I can tell it's working. I also talked to my boss and managers at work about the situation with trouble staffing and they are being very supportive - it happened while I was on FMLA so they know it wasn't my fault. Since then, my mood has been improving and I feel confident at work again. We still have a ways to go with hiring new people, but I believe things are going to get better.
