LittleDiana
I was reading about the Canons Regular of the Holy Cross of Coimbra (Founded in 1132, supressed by the government of Portugal in 1834 and restored in 1979) and I was wondering about how do people come to the idea of restoring an extinct order and how they actually do that. Not that I am thinking on restoring anything myself, but as a mental exercise. What do you think about? Have you ever considered this before? truthfinder
Well look at the Jesuits. They were to be "suppressed for all eternity".
LittleDiana
jesuits are special, because they never really died out (they fled to Russia where the tzarina sheltered them). I was thinking of orders that had no ex members alive at the time of the order's restoration (or that there are no alive members of it at present if it wasn't restored yet)
