Nihil Obstat
The Knights of Malta possess a certain form of sovereignty by which the Vatican has no authority over their internal governance. Dude A was dismissed from the order for, among other things, allowing distribution of condoms in aid efforts. Dude B is top dog and was responsible for A's dismissal. Vatican appointed a commission to investigate A's dismissal. Malta says "you have no right, get lost". Pope 'asks' B to resign. B resigns. Vatican commission vacates everything B did since December 5. Fin.

The coverage on CruxNow is clear https://cruxnow.com/tag/knights-of-malta/
