dUSt
So I'm starting a weekly study group at my house and decided to use the Catholicism Series Blu-Ray set as the basis. It's 10 episodes. There is a Study Guide that goes with the series, but I'm wondering if anyone else has used it. What's the difference between the Leaders Study Guide and the Student Study Guide? Is this a good idea for home study groups? Anything better out there? Keep in mind that the atmosphere will be adults eating dinner, drinking beer, with plenty of small humans running around causing distractions. truthfinder
I never had the student study guide, but our leader did use their guide. I found that is was way too often about feelings and our own experiences. This makes it uncomfortable for all but the most extroverted. The videos were good, but I'd suggest creating your own questions which more strongly link to the dogma and doctrine of what is discussed in the each respective video. This would definitely work as a small study group at home. Our parish group wasn't that large either - maybe 15ish people on the outside.
dUSt
Thanks! I wonder if I should just get one of the guides just so I can prepare some other discussion--just so I don't have to watch every episode before we watch them as a group.
