Quietfire
I am alone at my job for half of my shift, and I have found this is the best time when I can pray the Rosary. I have no interruptions by persons, and I can actually concentrate on the mysteries better. My hands stay busy, but before my mind would always wander, doing algebra homework, balancing Bush's budget (JK), planning dinner, worrying about this or that, etc. But I find now, that I finish my work in a much better mood when I just concentrate on praying the Rosary. But I got to wondering today, is this wrong? One of my coworkers is Catholic and saw no problem with it. He even asked me to recite some of the prayers since it had been so long since he had done it. But I figure I should ask someone with more knowledge than him, since he admitted he had never heard of the "Oh, my Jesus" and hasnt been to confession in 20 years. Is it wrong to Pray the Rosary while I am busy (my hands) at work? Thanks. Edited June 23, 2004 by Quietfire
cappie
As our whole life is a prayer to pray the rosary while you are doing other things is not wrong at all. There was a book that was popular some years ago called I think, the wisdom of Br Laurence who was a Carmelite brother who prayed while he did his work about the kitchen and the cloister, so you are in good company. St Clare said we should "Praise God by your life."
