The chaplaincy of my university is run by Opus Dei priests and there are always piles of prayer cards to different candidates for canonization. :saint2:

I prayed to Bl. Álvaro del Portillo once, during finals, asking him to obtain for me inner peace (I was feeling very anxious and overwhelmed) and he did.

I don't know why, but Ven. Montse Grases story always makes me think of Bl. Laura Vicuña :smile2:

Opus Dei is really good about getting their members canonized in a timely fashion.

When I recently wrote to an Opus Dei priest I know to offer my condolences for the death of their Prelate, the priest wrote back and said: "We've already had many favors granted through his intercession!" And I'm thinking: Wow, you guys don't waste any time! LOL! :)

I have a book called Saintly Youth of Modern Times, and Montserrat Grases was one of the young people featured in the book.  I always liked her -- she seems really sweet.

That's fast...

I went to see msgr. Echevarría when he visited my country on 2013. It was a cold and rainy winter morning, and I remember I thought how hard may have been for him those trips at such an advanced age.

Yes, there are already a lot of jokes about how the Opus Dei never waste any time when it comes to beatification.

I never had any "feelings" for St. Josemaria, but Bl. Alvaron del Portilla semmed very kind, and Msgr Echevarria looked very kind and funny. He was in Barcelona once and I missed him ! I was very moved by watching the video about him :
